Business Week: (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. plans to impose new sanctions against North Korea following the sinking of a South Korean warship four months ago, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said.
The sanctions would include measures against individuals in Kim Jong Ils regime, as well as banks that aid the North to carry out illicit activities, such as trade in arms and luxury goods that are barred by earlier United Nations measures, Clinton said at a briefing in Seoul today. It wasnt immediately clear how the sanctions would differ from existing restrictions.
