Defense Science Board to examine counter insurgency intelligence

Government Security News: The Defense Science Board is planning two sets of closed sessions in August and September during which its members will discuss how DoD intelligence can most effectively support the U.S. Governments counter insurgency (COIN) strategy.

Members of the DSBs task force on counter insurgency, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance will be briefed on "what emerging science and technology would have the greatest intelligence potential in this type of warfare," according to a notice posted in the Federal Register on July 27 by the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
