'Don't ask, don't tell' rule violates constitution, judge says
Business Week: (Bloomberg) -- The "dont ask, dont tell" policy allowing gays and lesbians to serve in the U.S. military since 1993 violates constitutionally protected due process and free speech rights, a federal judge in California ruled.
U.S. District Judge Virginia A. Phillips in Riverside yesterday ruled that the policy allowing gays and lesbians to serve in the armed forces as long as they dont reveal their sexual orientation is unconstitutional.
