New USGS Maps Predict Earthquake Hazards

Homeland Security Today: Forty-two states will be at risk for more frequent earthquake activity and 16 of those states are considered “High Risk,” according to a recent revamping of US National Seismic Hazard Maps by the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The new maps detail new insight on where future earthquakes will appear, how often and at what magnitude they will occur.
