NM: Governor hopeful for early reading proposal
Education Week: SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — Republican Gov. Susana Martinez remains optimistic that lawmakers will approve a centerpiece of her school improvement plan before time runs out in the legislative session this week.

The Senate already has approved a nearly identical measure, but the House postponed debate that had been expected on Tuesday.
