We have no idea how federal pay compares to the private sector. So let’s stop acting like we do, expert says
The Washington Post: The Great Pay Debate over federal vs. private-sector salaries and which are bigger erupted again last week with a new study from the Cato Institute.
Now a federal personnel expert who used to run the massive human resources shop for the Department of Homeland Security has done a trenchant analysis of why the libertarian think tank is absolutely wrong in its claim that civil servants make on average 78 percent more than their private-sector counterparts.
