Healthcare IT News: WASHINGTON The government will distribute nearly $17 million for patient-centered outcomes research that is supported by health information technology and data systems, Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced Wednesday.
The research compares treatments and strategies to improve health outcomes for patients. The three sets of three-year funds will be made available under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
