AHIMA urges HHS no ICD-10 delay

Government Health IT: The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) has urged the Department of Health and Human Services to move forward with ICD-10 plans and not to delay its implementation.

“The benefits of ICD-10 to reduce costs and improve patient care are invaluable to the future of our healthcare system,” said AHIMA CEO Lynne Thomas Gordon in a Feb. 17 announcement.
