HHS funds 7 teams to advance health data transfer

Federal Times: Seven health information transfer projects will split $1.5 million in funding under a pair of Department of Health and Human Services programs.

After considering 35 applicants, the HHS Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology announced recipients of the High Impact Pilot and Standards Exploration Award funding opportunities, introduced at the Health Datapalooza Conference in May 2016. The cooperative agreement initiatives were created to improve the use and interoperability of electronic health records.
