TX: For Texas, Energy Efficiency Presents an Opportunity
Fuel Fix: Energy efficiency might not be the first thing to come to mind when using the words “energy” and “Texas” in the same sentence. As Texans, we’re justifiably proud our state’s status as the largest producer of oil, natural gas and wind energy in the nation, and its our electricity costs are below average; and yet Texas families are spending more on their utility bills than many other Americans. In a state where energy production is booming, many will be surprised to learn our newest untapped energy source is in their own home.
