'Red flag' gun bill passes, heads to Delaware governor's desk

Delaware Online: The Delaware General Assembly on Tuesday passed the first major gun control legislation of 2018.

The Beau Biden Gun Violence Protection Act would allow police to temporarily seize firearms from someone whom a mental health professional deems a danger to themselves or others. It unanimously passed the state Senate after about 40 minutes of debate.

Passed unanimously by the House in March, the measure now heads to Gov. John Carney for his signature.
