Former NSA commander to lead Georgia's new cybersecurity center

StateScoop: Retired U.S. Army Col. Eric Toler, a former military intelligence commander, will be the inaugural executive director of Georgia's new Cyber Center, state officials announced Friday. Toler, who is also retiring from active duty the same day, will begin at the center on Oct. 1.

Toler, a 27-year veteran, was previously the commander of the National Security Agency's outpost at Fort Gordon in Augusta. The Georgia Cryptologic Center, which opened in 2012, specializes in signals intelligence.
