The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Office of the National Coordinator and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality have integrated the eCQI Resource Center with the United States Health Information Knowledgebase, CMS announced Jan. 5.

AHRQ's USHIK is a public database of technical measures and specifications for calculating federal payment reimbursement quality metrics, while eCQI Resource Center, established by CMS and ONC, is a centralized platform for eCQI and electronic clinical quality measures data, tools, news and standards.

The new integration lets users compare different versions and metadata of electronic clinical quality measures.

Users can download measures details in various formats, which can be used in different programs. The platform also contains data of eCQM eligibility standards for hospitals, professionals and software.

CMS updated eCQMs for 2017 in April with 29 new measures and the applicable organizations who'll use them to report quality data to the agency. The update also included 64 updated measures for eligible professionals for 2017's performance period. CMS updates the guidelines each year.
