Nextgov: The State Department has all the challenges most federal agencies face at the moment—a surplus of legacy technology, cybersecurity concerns, adhering to evolving policies—with the added complexity of having bureaus and consulates around the world.

The man responsible for the State Department’s technological well-being is Chief Information Officer Frontis Wiggins, appointed in November after more than three decades with the agency. He now oversees approximately $1 billion worth of IT.
