U.S. Says HSBC Needs to Step Up on Compliance

The New York Times: HSBC, the giant British bank that reached a multibillion-dollar settlement to resolve accusations of money laundering, still has a long way to go to root out the problems, federal prosecutors say.

The criticisms, gleaned from a 1,000-page report prepared by an independent monitor, were disclosed on Wednesday in a federal court filing.
