Public input on government reorg effort goes missing

Federal Times: In March 2017, President Donald Trump signed an executive order directing the Office of Management and Budget to develop reorganization plans for federal agencies to increase government efficiency. The American public was encouraged to submit their ideas for government efficiency and by June 2017, OMB announced that it had received more than 100,000 submissions.

Less than a year later, OMB said that “no responsive records were located” of such submissions, in answer to a Freedom of Information Act request submitted by the Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility.
