Council of State Governments Extends Overseas Voting Initiative
Route Fifty: The Council of State Governments renewed its partnership with the Federal Voting Assistance Program on Wednesday with plans to assess data on delivering ballots electronically.
Run by the Department of Defense, FVAP educates state policymakers on overseas voting issues like improving absentee ballot returns from service members and citizens abroad.
CSG’s Overseas Voting Initiative with FVAP began in 2013 and saw gains in states and territories, and the new five-year, $3.9 million effort aims to build on that success.
