Congress troubled by Blue Alert delays after ambush attacks on police

USA Today: WASHINGTON — The bipartisan authors of a law creating a national "Blue Alert" system are demanding answers from the Justice Department about why the system to prevent ambush attacks against police isn't up and running.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, said he was stunned by a USA TODAY report that the Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu National Blue Alert Act of 2015 still hasn't been implemented, 15 months after its passage.
