Iowa Board of Regents approves $65.4 million in cuts to state's public universities

Des Moines Register: Iowa's three public universities will take a $65.4 million hit this budgeted year as a result of declining enrollment amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic on top of an $8 million cut in state funding approved by the Legislature last month.

The Iowa Board of Regents unanimously approved a $1.5 billion general operating budget for the schools Wednesday afternoon that includes $727.9 million for the University of Iowa, $629.9 million for Iowa State University and $170 million for the University of Northern Iowa.
