GM Confirms Justice, SEC Probes on Ignition Recalls
NBC News: General Motors confirmed it is being investigated by the Justice Department and the Securities and Exchange Commission regarding its massive recalls of cars over ignition switch defects linked to 13 deaths, according to a recent filing.
GM disclosed in a quarterly report that the Securities and Exchange Commission has made inquiries about the recall. It also confirmed that the U.S. Attorney's office in New York and an unidentified state attorney general are conducting investigations.
