IG report: FEMA misstep cost agency $12 million

Federal Times: The Federal Emergency Management Agency miscalculated in its response to 2008 flooding in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, costing taxpayers $12 million, according to a new report.

The Department of Homeland Security Inspector General said in a September report that FEMA should have repaired four buildings in the city instead of paying to replace them.
