New union president promises to work ‘extremely hard’ for federal employees

The Washington Post: Tony Reardon became president of the second largest federal employee union Thursday without ever being a fed.

That apparently mattered little to delegates at the National Treasury Employees Union (NTEU) convention in Hollywood, Fla. They rewarded his 25-year history of working for them with 89 percent of the vote, crushing three other candidates.
