Government asks bidders on hack contract: Can your company host and protect in excess of 21.5 million records?

The Washington Post: The government plans to award a sweeping five-year contract in August to a private company to monitor the hacked security clearance data of 21.5 million people for identity theft — and ensure that the records are protected from further intrusions.

The winning bidder will be asked to monitor financial and health information of the breach victims — contractors and federal employees and their families — for fraudulent activity; set up call centers to answer questions;  train government employees how to prevent other hacks and restore stolen identities.
