Colorado puts regulatory microscope on utility distribution system planning
Energy News Network: Distribution system planning is a wonkish phrase that disguises what analysts say has become the cutting edge of the energy transformation.
“It’s the edge where the utilities’ operations directly encounter changing realities: changing technologies, changing economics, changing consumer expectations and, ultimately, changing public policy,” said Jeffrey Ackermann, chairman of the Colorado Public Utilities Commission.
