Pennsylvania Still Collecting COVID Data Amid Fed Change Up

Governing: Pennsylvania’s hospitals will still be required to send key coronavirus data to the state amid the Trump administration’s move to strip the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of its role in coronavirus data collection.

Information about COVID-19 hospitalizations, bed capacity, protective equipment and ventilators disappeared from the CDC website only to return this week with a disclaimer that the figures no longer included data being funneled to a contractor of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
