MA: Boston's New App Rewards Citizens for Reporting Problems

Digital Communities: When Boston launched Citizens Connect in 2009—a mobile app designed to make it easier for citizens to report problems to the city—there were fears that city hall would be buried in complaints about burned out streetlamps, potholed streets and crumbling sidewalks. Fortunately, these concerns were unwarranted, and now the city plans to launch what amounts to a loyalty program to reward the app’s most frequent users.
