FCC Grants Connecticut $5.7M for Statewide Telehealth

Government Technology: With a final set of grants that included $340,000 to Family Centers Health Care in Greenwich, the Federal Communications Commission completed the disbursement of $200 million across the nation to pay for “telehealth” systems to help doctors examine patients via web conferencing platforms.

In Connecticut, 14 hospitals and clinics won $5.7 million in the aggregate, including Yale New Haven Hospital, which got $1 million, and affiliates Bridgeport Hospital, Greenwich Hospital, Lawrence Memorial Hospital and Northeast Medical Group, which received another $2.3 million combined.
