West Virginia Governor Announces Broadband Expansion
Government Technology: Gov. Jim Justice and some Republican state legislators gathered on the West Virginia Capitol steps Wednesday afternoon to announce a broadband expansion initiative totaling nearly $1 billion.
The initiative would be funded from three sources of money – one newly announced on Wednesday. That would be $50 million per year for three years, appropriated by the Legislature. Justice challenged legislative Democrats to buy in on that proposal.
