U.S. Forest Service, CAL FIRE, and U.S. Fire Administration officials team up for a Twitter chat on disaster preparedness

Government Security News: Government officials from the U.S. Forest Service, the U.S. Fire Administration, and the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) will participate in a Twitter chat to discuss emergency preparedness strategies for wildfires. The social media discussion will include Teresa Neal, a specialist from the U.S. Fire Administration, Chief Ken Pimlott, the Director of CAL Fire, and Tom Harbour, the U.S. Forest Service Fire Chief. The event is a part of America’s PrepareAthon!, a nationwide effort to improve public safety and encourage emergency preparedness for natural disasters such as wildfires, tornadoes, hurricanes, and floods.
