IA: DOT releases $750,000 in emergency funds for flood-damaged roads in Iowa

Government Security News: After a week of heavy rains and rising waters in Iowa, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has made available $750,000 in emergency relief funds to assist with the cost of repairing damaged roads. The relief funds will be allocated from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to reimburse Iowa’s Department of Transportation for emergency repairs done during and in the aftermath of the flooding.
