Cyber Security Funding Increased; Overall DHS Budget Decreased

Homeland Security Today: Reflecting the critical importance the federal government places on developing a national cybersecurity defense, especially as it pertains to protecting the nation’s critical infrastructure, the Consolidated Appropriations Act (H.R. 3547) passed by Congress this week includes a total of $792 million for Department of Homeland Security (DHS) cybersecurity operations, a $35.5 million increase above the fiscal year 2013 enacted level.
