TSA Body Scanners Must be Utilized Effectively, GAO Audit Says
Homeland Security Today: At approximately half of the nation’s airports where Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) machines with Automated Target Recognition (ATR) software are used, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) does not conduct mandatory weekly Improvised Explosive Device drills because TSA does not know what office is responsible for enforcing the directive, according to a recent federal audit.
