U.S. House Passes Bi-Partisan Energy Cybersecurity Bill

Government Technology: On Tuesday, the U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed bipartisan legislation co-authored by Congressman Tim Walberg (R-MI) to bolster our nation's cyber defense and emergency response capabilities in the energy sector.

Introduced with Congressman Bobby Rush (D-IL), the Energy Emergency Leadership Act (H.R. 362) elevates the Department of Energy's energy security and emergency functions to an Assistant Secretary level in agency leadership that is reflective of its importance across the agency, the government and to the nation.
