Temple uses $1M of FCC telehealth funding for virtual care platform, tablets and more
Healthcare IT News: Located in the heart of North Philadelphia, Temple University Hospital serves one of the nation’s most economically challenged and diverse urban populations. More than 85% of the patients served by Temple are covered by government programs, including Medicare and Medicaid.
Patients dually eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid make up roughly half of the Medicare inpatient base. More than 40% of total inpatient cases include a behavioral health diagnosis.
