House passes spending bill that gives HHS, CDC, ONC and other health agencies bigger budgets than Trump's proposal

Healthcare IT News: Congress demonstrated that it understands the importance of interoperability in its proposed $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill that passed the House on Thursday to fund the government through Sept. 30.

The budget includes a considerable amount of funding for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to begin transition to Cerner for its EHR when that contract goes through.
