DoD looks to step up health IT security efforts
Government Health IT: The Department of Defense will begin to take more responsibility in securing hospital networks from hacks like the recent attack against Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center the DOD's deputy CIO for cybersecurity said.
"We have to take incidents like hospital hacking extremely seriously, go after those people, make sure there is accountability for criminal behavior," Richard Hale said in a Feb. 17 panel discussion. "But we've got to fix the technology."
